Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, maintaining work-life balance is very crucial to live a happy life. But minority of individuals believe that it is best to socialise in the work place during the leisure time while remaining individuals think that it is essential to separate working life with a social life. This essay will discuss both the views with some relevant examples but I firmly believe that socializing with the people you work with is an important thing to do.
To begin with, individuals who think that getting too much social with your colleagues is not a good habit because of increasing competitions. As, there are plathora of individuals who compete each and every day for a same job. And when you get hired and become social with your teammates, it may give them a idea of your positives and negatives and they can try to demote you. For instance, as per the data of Times of India the rate of competition between members of a same company is rising too fast that people are just working like a robots.
While few people thinks that being social with colleagues during the off hours is the best relaxation time where they can share their emotions with each other. As, some jobs are really mind boggling that employees got frustated and tired which eventually leads to decrease the spark on their personnel life. So, sharing the feelings with the working partner gives them a sense of motivation because they work in a same environment and understand each others feeling best. Moreover, hanging out during evenings or weekends with the office workers adds a spice to the life and the productivity at work will also get increase.
In conclusion, keeping office and personal life seperately is good to avoid competition and you can just focus on your goal while socializing is a great activity for the refreshment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding competition is supported by a vague reference to 'Times of India' data, which lacks specific detail. The explanation of why socializing is beneficial is better developed, but the overall structure of the arguments could be more nuanced. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explored with more depth and logical progression.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'While', and 'Moreover', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The use of referencing is generally clear, although some sentences are slightly disjointed due to grammatical errors. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the relationship between sentences is more fluid and natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors. For example, 'plathora of individuals' (plethora), 'getting too much social', and 'mind boggling' are used in ways that are not entirely natural. There are also spelling errors such as 'seperately' and 'frustated'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the lack of precision and the presence of spelling mistakes limit the score. Expanding your range of collocations and checking for common spelling errors would significantly improve your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading, such as 'minority of individuals believe' (a minority), 'separate working life with a social life' (from), and 'few people thinks' (think). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining complex sentence construction will be beneficial.
