Student answer (Band 6.0)

Socializing is a form of building bonds. Many people believe that it's great to meet work colleagues after working hours and on weekends. Whereas, some says it is significant to maintain boundaries between work life balance and social life. According to me both the phase has its own consequences and this essay will examine every part of life.

To commence with, at some point meeting up after eight hours of long shift can increase bond between them significantly because at work all the employees are occupied with several job responsibilities and tends to talk only about work related issues. As a result, colleagues doesn't know each other properly. In order to support their mental well-being, they should plan evening walk, gym or visit to any cafes. As a result, someone who feel lonely tends to share some personal life topics. For example, If an introvert person doesn't meet anyone after shift they are most likely to be in depressed zone.

On the other hand, fewer population believe that it is important to keep working life separate from social life which is again a benefit for people who doesn't open up with others easily. Some of them intend to keep their life private and feel delighted of their own company. As a result they do not give access to everyone to talk about their life and focus on their own world. For instance, trust is a major demand these days and not everybody is trustworthy. For some people they have good friends outside the company and they do not believe in creating other groups.

As per my perspective, both of the views are justified at its own pace. Since some people are extroverts and carry such a nature that they become friends easily whereas, some are introverts that they keep their life private. i would respect both the decision.

to conclude this, It totally depends on colleagues, if they are wiling to make a health relationship after work or they feel happy about having two separate friends zone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the benefits of socializing is supported by general statements about 'mental well-being' and 'loneliness,' but these points could be more deeply explored with more specific, illustrative examples. The conclusion is a bit brief and could have better synthesized the main points. Overall, the response covers all parts of the prompt, but the depth of analysis is more consistent with a Band 6 level, as some points remain slightly under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with,' 'On the other hand,' and 'As a result' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed. For example, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is a bit abrupt. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'significant,' 'justified,' and 'introverts,' but there are also instances of awkward phrasing or word choice, such as 'depressed zone' and 'fewer population.' The range is sufficient to communicate, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. Some errors in collocation and word formation occur, though they do not impede the reader's understanding of the main arguments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some says,' 'colleagues doesn't know,' 'someone who feel lonely') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, though there are some inconsistencies. The errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, but they rarely impede communication. To reach a higher band, the writer needs to demonstrate more consistent control over basic grammatical rules and increase the accuracy of complex sentence forms.
