Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear position, although the conclusion is incomplete, which impacts the overall development. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of bonding for new employees versus the need for family time to reduce stress. However, the initial paragraph contains fragmented, disconnected sentences that do not form a coherent introduction. While the main body paragraphs provide some support, the development is somewhat limited, and the abrupt ending prevents a full synthesis of the argument. To improve, ensure all parts of the essay are fully developed and that the conclusion provides a clear summary of your position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow is hindered by mechanical and sometimes inaccurate use of cohesive devices. For example, the phrase 'To articulate it' is used incorrectly to introduce an explanation. The opening paragraph is particularly problematic, as it consists of disconnected phrases that lack logical progression. While there is an attempt to use transition signals like 'To commence with' and 'On the other hand', the overall structure feels disjointed. Improving the logical flow between sentences and ensuring that cohesive devices are used naturally will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary range is adequate for the task but lacks precision and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. Phrases like 'cutting-edge era' and 'certain section of societies' are slightly unnatural in this context. There are also spelling errors such as 'crike' (cricket), 'expriences', 'relex', and 'relxed'. While the meaning is generally clear, the limited range and frequent errors in spelling and collocation prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on learning collocations and proofreading for common spelling mistakes will help improve your score in this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('certain section... are believing'), incorrect verb forms ('are not allowed them to spend'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly in the opening section. While the attempt at complex structures is evident, the lack of control over basic grammar rules results in a high frequency of errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
