Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 150 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely limited. While you introduce both sides of the argument and state an opinion, the discussion is incomplete. You only address the first perspective (socializing with colleagues) and fail to discuss the second perspective (keeping work and life separate) or provide a conclusion. The task is only partially addressed due to the significant under-length and lack of balanced discussion, which prevents a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows a basic attempt at organization with an introduction and a body paragraph. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the premature ending of the text. Cohesive devices are limited and sometimes used incorrectly, such as the transition 'to commence with' which is not followed by a balanced structure. Paragraphing is insufficient as the essay is incomplete. The lack of a clear structure for the second viewpoint and a conclusion makes the overall flow disjointed.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple phrasing. There are several spelling errors, such as 'saparate', 'socil', 'mingal', 'thay', and 'struggal', which indicate a lack of control over word formation. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. You need to focus on accurate spelling and expanding your range of topic-specific collocations to improve your lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include 'A handful of people think that it is good idea' (missing article), 'other said' (tense inconsistency), and 'someone who having struggal' (incorrect verb form). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization at the start of sentences. To improve, you should focus on subject-verb agreement, consistent verb tenses, and the correct use of articles.
