Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is disagreement whether employees should socialize after work during evenings or weekends or they should keep their work and personal life separate. Meetings after work can help them to know better about each other, whereas not socialize after work can maintain the more respect and professionalism for higher position colleagues such as mangers. In my opinion, they should do meetings after work to make a healthy relationship, which is also helpful to work together at workplace.
Those who support meetings after work can be helpful for a good understanding. When employees go for picnic or dinner together on weekend, they can know more about each other and company. As a result they can work good in a team, as they already aware about each others expertise. For example, a workplace where people have good bonding with each other and have a knowledge about their skills can work very well on a project and achieve target successfully.
On the other hand, professionalism is also important to maintain the respect for seniors which can only be possible if they keep their relationship under the workplace boundaries. For instance, if a CEO of the company doing evening walk or dinner with normal employees than they will forget their limit to talk in the office. Thus, it will also effect their performance because they will not hesitate to make excuse for coming late to work or not finishing the task.
I believe that professionalism is plays an important role in the workplace, but it can be maintained during their work off hours also. A happy and friendly workplace environment is necessary for company's success.
In conclusion, socialization can improve colleagues understanding related work, while no meetings after office can maintain more respect for leading position person's. I think that they should do meetings, but also be careful while doing conversations about their words.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits of team bonding versus the potential loss of professional boundaries. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the CEO is a good point, but the explanation could be more nuanced. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made. Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of analysis is consistent with a mid-range band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the other hand', 'As a result', and 'In conclusion', which help the flow of the text. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though some sentences feel slightly disjointed due to grammatical errors. The progression of ideas is logical, moving from the benefits of socializing to the potential drawbacks, followed by the author's stance.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'professionalism' and 'boundaries', but the range is somewhat limited. There are also some word choice errors, such as 'do meetings' instead of 'hold meetings' or 'have meetings', and 'work good' instead of 'work well'. These errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a need for more precise collocation and variety.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'There is disagreement whether' (missing 'as to'), 'not socialize' (should be 'not socializing'), 'than they will' (should be 'then'), and 'is plays' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is generally functional, but these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. The majority of sentences contain minor errors.
