Student answer (Band 5.5)

Undoubtedly, it is argued by some individuals that multitudes, who are working should socalise with all the workers in evenings and also weekends. whereas, other people think that they should just focus on their work instead of talking with someone else. I think they should become socialise because it helps them to boost their confidence level. I will discuss both the views in my upcoming paragraphs.

On the one side, if employee talk with each other at their workplace, this improves their communication skills and, also boost confidence. To elaborate it, employee go daily at work even it is evening shift, day shift or night shift, they meet many people from different nations. which helps to improve their communication skill. For instance, a worker, who is working in office as a manager, when he meets other people, and talk with them about work or culture. the, he gains some knowledge and learn something new. As a consequence, this is the best way to improving skill.

On the other hand, keeping work life separate from others people make worker mistaken free. To emplify it, employee who works hard do not concentrate on anyones. His aim is just to focus on work and earn money. due to this, he/she lost his interest in any other persons

and he/she lives happily. For example, last year a survey was conducted in New York,

and showed that many people just focus on work no socialising with anyone on call or interenet and revealed that they completed their week work in two days. Therefore, this i

is the best way to completing work as soon as possible.

To conclude, eventhough many people like keep them socialise, but i think working with their employees together enhance the knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—socialising with colleagues versus keeping work and social life separate—and presents a clear personal opinion. The writer's position is stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the arguments regarding communication skills and confidence are introduced but not fully extended with precise explanations. The reasoning in the second body paragraph relies on broad generalisations rather than deep analysis. Nevertheless, the prompt has been adequately covered to satisfy the requirements of Band 6.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays an overall coherent arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body paragraphs, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are present, such as 'On the one side', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude', but their usage is frequently mechanical and repetitive. Furthermore, referencing and punctuation errors disrupt the flow. For example, fragment sentences like 'which helps to improve their communication skill' and 'the, he gains some knowledge' interrupt logical progression. Paragraphing is adequate, but transitions between sentences occasionally feel abrupt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic ideas about socialising and working life. However, there are numerous word choice and spelling errors, such as 'socalise', 'employee' used instead of the plural 'employees', and 'emplify' instead of 'exemplify'. The writer attempts less common vocabulary, like 'undoubtedly', 'multitudes', and 'mistaken free', but these attempts often lead to unnatural collocations or misuse. Spelling and word-formation errors are noticeable throughout the text, constraining the lexical score to Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the response. Frequent errors include subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'employee talk' and 'employee who works hard do not concentrate', as well as punctuation errors like misplaced commas and fragmented sentences. For example, 'which helps to improve their communication skill' is improperly separated from the preceding clause. While the meaning is usually retrievable, the high frequency of basic and complex structural errors causes persistent difficulty for the reader, placing this performance firmly in the Band 5 category.
