Student answer (Band 5.0)
Well todays world is to hectic now days people do not have much time because day by day things are being changed and life has become very busy .
Here i would like to share my thoughts about socializing, Some students needs help in the project and many more thing as i believe that in our free work we should help youngsters in many ways like if they need any help in there studies or if they are trying to gain any knowledge for themself which is very good.
However, if we see, being helpful to our colleagues gives us the benefit of our own work because first of all you get good name in the company and they always keep you in front if any work is to be done. And moreover always they will recommend your name for each and every event which will be held in the office.
Second part if we focus that some people do not like to get involved with their fellow mates reason they like to have own spare time which in my point of view is not bad every individual have their own opinion or their choice. They like to be left alone any they do not want any disturbance. Precisely they like to do the work in silent and want to get away from people.
My point of view is that we have to be in touch with every one so that even we can gain some knowledge from others and get to know what is their mind so I believe helping your own people is a good benefit in our life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on socialising with colleagues and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and shifts abruptly into discussing students and youngsters, which is slightly off-topic in a workplace context. For example, the student writes, 'Some students needs help in the project and many more thing as i believe that in our free work we should help youngsters.' This demonstrates a slight confusion regarding the prompt's focus on work colleagues rather than students. The writer's position is discernible in the final paragraph, but overall support remains somewhat basic and disjointed. Consequently, this performance aligns closely with the Band 5 descriptors, as the task is addressed, but certain ideas are under-developed and unclear.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response shows some organisation, but it lacks a clear overall progression. Paragraphing is poorly handled, with the entire body of the text lumped into a few lengthy and rambling blocks that mix different arguments together. For instance, the transition between discussing helpful colleagues and those who prefer isolation is abrupt, marked by phrases like 'Second part if we focus that...' Cohesive devices are either inadequate, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as 'first of all' followed immediately by 'And moreover always they will recommend...' Referencing is also confusing at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical flow. These features reflect the characteristics of a Band 4.0 to 5.0 response; however, given the recognisable overall structure, a score of 5.0 is appropriate.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and often repetitive. The writer relies on basic terms such as 'good name', 'busy', and 'help', struggling to use less common lexical items accurately. There are noticeable word-choice errors, such as 'to hectic now days' instead of 'too hectic nowadays', and 'fellow mates' instead of colleagues. Phrases like 'get good name in the company' and 'do the work in silent' further highlight unnatural collocations and strain the reader's understanding at times. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey a basic message, it falls short of the Band 6 threshold due to frequent inaccuracies and a lack of varied, precise language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
Grammatically, the response displays a very limited range of structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex forms are frequently faulty or disjointed, often resulting in run-on sentences without appropriate punctuation. Examples include 'Well todays world is to hectic now days people do not have much time because day by day things are being changed and life has become very busy .' Errors in subject-verb agreement are frequent, such as 'Some students needs' and 'every individual have'. Punctuation is largely neglected, with comma splices and missing periods occurring throughout the text. These persistent errors cause difficulty for the reader and firmly place the grammar at a Band 5.0 level.
