Student answer (Band 4.0)
yes my thoughts match with the ideao of socialise with people in the evenings and the weekends as it creates good environment around us and also we will get more to learn from people and create some new ideas and thoughts it also creae some good bond btw different cultures and people around us which makes to live a supportive life around usin my opinion socialising is a good practice of sharing love and goodness amoungselves.
some people thinks that we should maintain some work life balance seperately so that there will be least inteferrence in the personal life in the society as it also creates some diffences with some people in their opinions so some people thinks the socialising is not so good as it disturbs our own work life balance
but i saty with my thoughts the socialising is agood gesture of frienship and life balance in the society and people around us and also creates some good unique ideas to change lives of people with the diffrent thoughts of the people

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5
The response attempts to address both views regarding socialising with work colleagues and provides a personal opinion, satisfying the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is severely hindered by the fragmented nature of the text and the inclusion of large blocks of gibberish keyboard-mashing towards the end. While the writer outlines reasons such as building cultural bonds and creating a supportive environment, as well as the counter-argument concerning work-life balance, these points remain superficial and lack full extension. In accordance with the descriptors, the response is partially addressed due to the breakdown in coherent communication and incomplete development, warranting a Band 4.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
Coherence and cohesion are severely compromised throughout the text. The essay completely lacks standard punctuation, capitalisation, and paragraph breaks in the main body, resulting in a continuous, run-on structure that is extremely difficult to follow. Furthermore, the final section consists entirely of random strings of characters and gibberish, which completely disrupts any logical progression or organization of ideas. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, and referencing is unclear. This performance aligns with Band 4 descriptors, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently and cohesive features are minimal or ineffective.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, relying on everyday terms like 'good environment', 'good bond', and 'good practice'. There are frequent instances of poor word choice and collocation, such as 'match with the ideao' and 'saty with my thoughts'. The writer attempts some less common expressions, but these are handled inaccurately. Furthermore, the second half of the submission degrades into unreadable letter strings, rendering lexical assessment challenging beyond the initial paragraphs. The limited and repetitive range, coupled with noticeable errors that strain the reader, corresponds to a Band 4.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited, characterized by a complete absence of punctuation such as full stops and commas. The student strings multiple clauses together using conjunctions without boundary markers, creating run-on sentences. There are frequent errors in basic sentence structures, subject-verb agreement, and word forms (e.g., 'creae' instead of 'creates', 'amoungselves'). The high frequency of grammatical errors and structural faults causes continuous difficulty for the reader and obscures meaning, fitting the criteria for Band 4.0, where very limited structures and frequent errors dominate.
