Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's professional world, While some people believe that socializing is great idea with work colleagues in outside working hours. However, Other people strongly believe that It is important to keep personal and professional life separate. In this essay will discuss both perspectives and explain why I believe that it’s a good idea to socialize with work colleagues during evenings and weekends.
On the one hand, spending time the colleagues Outside the workplace can help person to develop strong bonding and professional relationship with the coworkers. In informal gatherings, such as dinners, team outings, or celebrations allow employees to interact in a relaxed environment. When people know each other personally, they become more comfortable to share work related idea and finding. This thing can improve communication with colleagues eventually lead better teamwork. For example, Many organization organize team dinner, lunch and weekend activity can help new employees become more comfortable with their colleagues. This thing also reduce work stress and create friendly atmosphere.
On the other hand, there many reason why people want to separate their social and personal life. Most of the working hours, employees spend time with colleagues but during weekend and after work they also want spend time with family. For maintaining professional relation, sometime employees obliged to go for dinner and outing during their rest time. Sometime socialization lead favoritism between colleagues and it can effect the work place atmosphere. If two colleagues have an argument during a social gathering, this could create tension when they return to work.
In conclusion, socializing with colleagues can strengthen relationships and improve teamwork. whereas, keeping work and personal life separate can provide privacy and time for relaxation. I believe both approach are sensible but balance is important between two approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—socializing with colleagues versus keeping work and personal lives separate—and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. Ideas are generally extended and supported, such as when the student explains how informal gatherings improve teamwork and reduce stress, or conversely, how post-work obligations can infringe on family time. However, there is a tendency to over-generalize in places, and some arguments lack deeper development or specific real-world examples outside of generic scenarios. The position is maintained throughout the essay. Meeting the task requirements effectively, this performance aligns closely with Band 6.5 to 7.0 descriptors, specifically demonstrating the clear characteristics of a Band 6.5 evaluation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable four-paragraph structure comprising an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, the opening sentences contain fragmented clauses and awkward transitional punctuation ('In today's professional world, While some people believe... However, Other people strongly believe...'). Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen with ambiguous pronoun usage ('This thing can improve communication...', 'This thing also reduce work stress...'). Logical progression is present, but transitional phrases could be managed more flexibly to achieve a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'professional perspective', 'informal gatherings', 'relaxed environment', and 'favoritism'. However, there are noticeable word-choice, collocation, and form errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'great idea with work colleagues in outside working hours' instead of 'outside of working hours', 'work related idea and finding' instead of 'findings', and 'effect the work place atmosphere' where 'affect' is required. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they reflect the typical limitations associated with a Band 6 level of lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over multi-clause structures (e.g., 'When people know each other personally, they become more comfortable...'). However, the text contains frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding capitalization ('While', 'Other', 'It'), subject-verb agreement ('Many organization organize...', 'This thing also reduce...'), and preposition usage ('spend time the colleagues'). Punctuation errors are also apparent, such as splitting compound sentences into fragments. Because these errors persist across the text and occasionally cause the reader hesitation, the grammar falls solidly into the Band 6 category.
