Student answer (Band 6.5)
Work colleagues are an impportant part of people's lives. A significant proportion of individuals believe that the best idea is to socialize with workmates after the office hours, nevertheless opposed by many one the ground by stating that there should be a balance between personal and professional life. I strongly agree with the former view as by getting involved in the one another's social life can help them to be wonderful friends as well as a great team to work with.
One the one hand, The most prominent point is that individuals' work lives are already utterly tiring so if they make plans with their work buddies to organize a party or to hangout together then it helps them to be really good friends which results in making them to enjoy the working hours which makes a huge difference in their mental state and also increases productivity at work. Moreover, knowing one another at a personal level leads the workers to support one another in the difficult times such as family issue, financial problems and many more. To state an example, there was a really incredible story posted on the social media that in a company one employee was really sad because his car was broken and he did not had enough money to fix it and by being very close to him, his co-workers got to know about it and gifting him a new car on his birthday which is a great effort.
On the other hand, sometimes having any kind of conflicts with the colleagues at a personal level can pave a path to spoil their professional connection as well which can make it worse for them to work together. Apart from it, the more two people will involve in each others' lives the more are chances for them to gain more than required information about each other which is not good at a professional level sometimes.
In conclusion, although there are possible pros and cons of both the aspects, I wholeheartedly hold thde view that nothing can be more exciting than to build the best friendship connection with the people you work with.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The student addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views on socialising with colleagues and clearly stating a personal position in the introduction and conclusion ('I strongly agree with the former view'). Main ideas are extended and supported, such as how socialising improves workplace relationships, boosts mental state, and increases productivity. The supporting example about the car, although slightly anecdotal and informal ('really incredible story posted on the social media'), helps illustrate the point well. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed throughout the essay, meeting the requirements for a Band 7 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organised with a clear progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a concluding summary. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views. Cohesive devices are employed to guide the reader, such as 'On the one hand,' 'Moreover,' and 'On the other hand.' However, there are instances of mechanical or slightly awkward transitions, such as 'apart from it' and minor referencing slips like 'in the one another's social life'. Overall cohesion is clear and logical, placing the response solidly in the Band 6 to 7 range, leaning towards Band 6.5 due to occasional awkward mechanical links.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'prominent point', 'productivity', and 'professional connection'. However, there are several spelling and word-choice errors, including 'impportant' instead of important, 'hangout' used as a noun instead of hanging out, and typographical errors like 'thde'. Collocations are sometimes slightly unnatural, such as 'gain more than required information'. While these errors do not impede communication, their frequency prevents the essay from reaching a higher lexical band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms with varying success. There are some good complex structures used, but also frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding prepositions and articles. Examples include 'after the office hours' (unnecessary article), 'in the one another's social life', 'he did not had enough money' (tense error), and 'the more two people will involve... the more are chances'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but run-on structures occasionally occur. The frequency of these structural and grammatical errors keeps this criterion at Band 6.
