Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an ongoing debate about whether people should spend their after work time with their coworkers or it is important to keep work life totally seperate. Both the situations have their own benefits, but I personally believe that people should spend their time with their colleagues as well as family by keeping work life seperate.
Some people opine that socialising with thier colleagues is a good idea, hold their own views. To begin with, spending time after work with coworkers makes their work easier, faster and stressfree by sharing ideas with eachother. For example, few people are working on the same project in the company with specific deadline and are unable to finish their work during their work hours. If they are going out to during evening time or on weekends they can discuss thier views and can finish their work within the deadline. As a result, it helps to reduce individual's stress levels and can focus on other important work at the same time. Apart from this, a person might find a good listener to trust on. Nowadays, people need someone to share their daily life with their trustworthy person, which can help them to improve their mental health by sharing such problems.
On the other side, people believe that they should keep their work life seperate from social life, because individuals should also focus on their family and children. A person have some responsibilitie fromn their family to fulfil. For example, if person is not giving enough time to thier family members it will affect that negatively and might will not be able to make good bond with them. As a result, it can ruin their work - life balanace.
In my opinion, I believe that a person must be focused on both their work and real life at the same time. An individual should not be completely seperate from the social life, a person should spend time with colleagues as well after work butthere shpuld be a time frame for that.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on socialising with colleagues and providing a personal opinion. The student's position is clear throughout the essay and in the conclusion. Ideas are relevant, such as discussing stress reduction, work efficiency, and family responsibilities. However, some arguments lack full extension and suffer from minor development issues. For instance, the discussion around finding a trustworthy listener is somewhat brief. Nevertheless, the prompt is fully satisfied with a clear stance and coherent development, aligning well with the Band 6.5 to 7.0 profile. We will award a Band 6.5 as ideas are generally relevant and extended, though slightly under-developed in places.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a clear logical progression and is organised into appropriate paragraphs, featuring an introduction, two body paragraphs representing the contrasting views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as 'To begin with', 'For example', and 'On the other side'. However, there are some minor mechanical errors in referencing and cohesion, such as 'Some people opine that socialising with thier colleagues is a good idea, hold their own views', which leads to slight grammatical awkwardness and disjointed sentence linkage. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall cohesion occasionally feels slightly mechanical. This places the response comfortably at a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'stressfree', 'work-life balance', and 'responsibilities'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors throughout the response, including 'seperate' (repeated multiple times), 'thier', and spacing issues like 'work - life balanace'. Word choice is generally functional but occasionally lacks precision. While these lexical errors do not impede communication, their frequency prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Therefore, a Band 6.0 is appropriate for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination and relative clauses, such as 'If they are going out to during evening time or on weekends they can discuss thier views'. However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors, including missing prepositions ('going out to during'), awkward phrasing ('might will not be able'), and minor run-on structures. Punctuation spacing is also occasionally faulty, as seen in 'after work butthere shpuld be'. These errors are noticeable and require some effort from the reader, though they rarely obscure the overall meaning completely, making a Band 6.0 a fair evaluation.
