Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individual believe that best option to utilise your free time with your cowoker. However, other people think that there should be a gap with our colleagues in social life and working life.

Nowadays, as we know that all people are busy in their daily life routine such as they are busy in their jobs as well as in their household routine. If I a person can spend their evenings and weekends with their coworker they can share many things with each others such as things that happened all day. They can share their thoughts regarding their work if they find something difficult which they are cannot share with any other person. For instance, if they had problem with there work or they find our it diffficult to tell their manager or supervisour. They can easily share with there colleagues after work as well which can really help them find out the solutions. Moreover, your work place never look more stressfull than usally do. Although, it will looks more like home beacuse they know each others very well.

On the other hand, socialise with coworkers could be a bad idea because if we get more friendly with them it really impact their work productivite. More gossip will happen, if they spend their weekends with each others they can share their personal life as well. So, they will more focused on their livies rather than work. So, the work place become more friendly. For example, if a person share their life insidence with their other cowoker on weekends . They will also continoues their discussion on work place with distracts the others people as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on socialising with work colleagues and providing a personal opinion, which is integrated throughout the essay. The student's ideas are generally relevant, such as the benefits of sharing work-related stress and the potential downsides of reduced workplace productivity. However, some ideas are under-developed or expressed through slightly repetitive arguments, placing the response at a Band 5.5 to 6.0 level. For example, the point about gossiping and focusing on personal lives rather than work is introduced but lacks sufficient extension with detailed examples. The position is clear, but the limited development of ideas prevents a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some overall organisation. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward referencing and mechanical cohesive devices. For instance, transitional phrases like 'Nowadays, as we know that all people are busy' and 'On the other hand, socialise with coworkers could be a bad idea' are clumsily linked. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow within paragraphs suffers from abrupt shifts and unclear pronoun referencing, such as 'they can share many things with each others such as things that happened all day.' These cohesion and referencing issues align closely with Band 5.0 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some topic-specific terms such as 'colleagues', 'productivity', 'supervisor', and 'stressful'. However, there are numerous noticeable errors in word choice, form, and collocation that detract from the writing, including 'cowoker', 'productivite', 'insidence', and 'continoues'. Furthermore, awkward phrases like 'busy in their daily life routine' and 'work place become more friendly' limit precision. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey basic meaning, the frequency of lexical and spelling errors caps the performance firmly at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple and flawed complex sentences. There are frequent, persistent errors throughout the text that often cause difficulty for the reader and obscure meaning. Examples include 'Some individual believe that best option to utilise your free time with your cowoker', 'If I a person can spend', and 'which they are cannot share'. Subject-verb agreement errors, incorrect verb forms ('socialise' instead of 'socialising'), and confusing prepositional use ('with there work', 'on work place') are widespread. The high density of foundational grammatical errors restricts the score to a Band 4.5.
