Student answer (Band 6.0)
People have different persepectives on whether socializing with colleagues is a good idea or not. Some people believe that spending evenings or weekends with co-workers is the better way to relax while others prefer to keep social and working life totally separate. In my opinion, socializing with working partners is essential but work life needs to be different from the social life.
There are several reasons why people believe that socialization with co-workers is important. Firstly, by spending evenings with colleagues help individual to reduce the work stress. They can build better relations at the workplace which help them to overcome any business related stress. By organize some weekend events with colleagues help to develop the sense of trust among each other to working on long-term projects. For instance, when co-workers know each other outside the work environment, it help them to know each other personally.
People who prefer to keep the work life different from private life is because of family commitments. For example, devoting precious time to family members, baby sitting or to attend family occasions. Some individuals want to reserve their personality and don't want to socialize with their peers. Keepind the working boundaries different from the social life helps the individual to prioritizing the family over anything which helps them to reduce the stress and keeping the mind fresh.
In my opinion, on some occassions working environment may be toxic because of business commitments. Thus it is better to kept the social life apart from the working life.
In conclusion, although spending time on weekends with colleagues can reduce the work related stresss and strong the relation with co-workers however; keeping the work life different help the individual to devote some quality time to family.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a personal position: the first body paragraph explains how socialising can reduce work stress and build trust, while the next discusses family commitments and personal boundaries. Your conclusion also recognises benefits on both sides. However, your position is not fully consistent: the introduction calls socialising “essential,” whereas the later opinion says it is better to keep social life apart from work. Clarify whether you support occasional contact, regular socialising, or separation overall. Some ideas also need fuller explanation; for example, the point about colleagues knowing one another personally does not show clearly how this improves work or wellbeing. Develop each reason with a specific example and a clearer link to the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from stress reduction to trust and long-term projects without explaining the connection between these points. Some linking is mechanical, and the final sentence’s “although … however” construction makes the relationship between the ideas awkward. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as in “it help them to know each other personally.” Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph develop one main idea through explanation and a relevant example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “family commitments,” “work environment,” “long-term projects,” and “working boundaries.” These expressions show an attempt to discuss both professional relationships and private life. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “persepectives,” “socialization,” “strong the relation,” and “work related stresss” are inaccurate or unnatural. “Working partners” is also less suitable than “colleagues” in this context. Some key terms, such as “work life” and “social life,” are repeated frequently. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more elaborate wording, and proofread spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast in the introduction and a concession in the conclusion. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction remain. For example, “by spending evenings with colleagues help individual” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “which help them” does not agree with its antecedent. In “People who prefer … is because,” the clause structure is incomplete, and “it is better to kept” uses the wrong verb form. The final sentence also combines “although” and “however” awkwardly. Practise building complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns; then use complex structures only when their relationships are clear.
