Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify both perspectives and state a clear preference: “I firmly believe that socialise with co worker give long term benefit.” The response also offers relevant reasons, including stronger workplace relationships and the value of keeping a separate social circle. However, the discussion is only partial: the benefits of socialising with colleagues are explained more than the opposing view, which is left unfinished at “and produc…”. The examples about family bonds and children’s friendships are not fully connected to the main argument. The response is 176 words, below the required 250, so several ideas remain undeveloped. To strengthen the answer, complete both sides, explain each reason, and add a relevant example before concluding with your opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introduction presents the topic, one section discusses socialising with colleagues, and “on the other hand” introduces the opposing view. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, progression is limited because the response ends mid-sentence and has no conclusion, while the opening also announces what the essay will do without establishing a developed structure. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, particularly the move from workplace relationships to children’s friendships. Several sentences run together, and punctuation around transitions is inconsistent. Use separate, clearly focused paragraphs for each view and your opinion, link each reason to its explanation, and finish with a concise conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “colleagues,” “workplace,” “social life,” and “security,” and you attempt phrases such as “strong family bond.” This shows a basic range for discussing the subject. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are frequent enough to make parts of the response difficult to read, for example “benfital,” “lesiure,” “seprate,” and “relex.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “jealous effect” and “give long term benifit.” Aim to learn accurate topic vocabulary and common collocations, then proofread carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the advantages and disadvantages without relying on repeated general words such as “good” or “important.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “When people spend their lesiure time with their colleague they come close togather and understanding problems of each other.” This shows an effort to express cause and effect, but control is limited: complex attempts often contain errors, and frequent problems with verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries can make meaning unclear. For example, “It is often argue” needs a passive form, while “Its helpfull to do their work” has an unclear subject and faulty structure. The sentence beginning “Furthermore, by spending much time…” also lacks a clear grammatical subject. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Check punctuation and ensure each sentence has a clear subject and verb.
