Student answer (Band 4.0)
Working with colleagues during evening and weekends is good idea for me. In my opinion, we have a busy day for working long day alone and feel low after work is over, then we meet our friends at the evening its makes feel good. When you speend a long working days and week and meet your colleagues is kind of free therapy for myself. It's a good idea to socialise with colleagues during evening and weekends because, when we meet friend we share everything to them and feel free. If we have any kind of problem our friends help to slove the problem. Furthermore, we need our for for everything beacause friends is one of the most important person in everyone's life after a parents. For Example, A few month ago i need help for me moving room from one place to another place which is completely impossible to do alone, I called my friends and they are coming to help me.
In the other hand, some pleple think it's important to keep working life completely separate from social life. But i don't think that it's a good idea because in the working place there is also a our colleagues who are work in social work. Separation of work and social life is impossible for me. Socialise and social work is comfort for me after a long days and errk. I love to helping people who need help.
Socialise with work colleagues during evenings and weekends or keep working life completely separate from social life is impossible for me.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You give a clear preference for socialising with colleagues and include a relevant personal example about friends helping you move. You also mention the opposing view that work and social life should be separate. However, that view is only briefly stated, and the response does not explain why people might value separation, so the discussion of both sides is incomplete. Your reasons for socialising—sharing problems and receiving help—are relevant but need fuller explanation and clearer links to workplace colleagues. The conclusion repeats the two options without clearly restating your own position. The response is 233 words, 17 words below the 250-word minimum; 26 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop the opposing argument and add specific explanation to meet the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response has a basic overall shape: an opening position, a paragraph introducing the other view, and a final sentence. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For Example,” and “In the other hand” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is difficult to follow because several points are repeated, and the second paragraph does not explain the opposing view before rejecting it. Some connections are unclear, such as “we need our for for everything,” while the final sentence presents the alternatives as impossible rather than summarising your argument. Organise each paragraph around one clear point, use accurate transitions such as “On the other hand,” and make the relationship between each example and your main claim explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “socialise,” “colleagues,” “separate,” and “problem,” and phrases such as “free therapy” communicate your personal view. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning unclear. Examples include “busy day for working long day,” “social work” when you appear to mean socialising, and “help to slove the problem.” Spelling errors such as “speend,” “pleple,” and “beacause” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for workplace relationships and the benefits or drawbacks of mixing work and social life, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “If we have any kind of problem our friends help…,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. For example, “is good idea” needs an article, “friends is” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “they are coming to help me” does not fit the past-time example. The opening sentence also joins several ideas without clear punctuation, making it hard to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses; check articles, verb tense, and agreement in each sentence.
