Student answer (Band 6.0)

Now there are predominantely two contrasting schools of thoughts about social life. One section asserts that employee should be socialize with their colleagues in free time; however, majority of sections, including me, reckon that professional life must be disntinct from social life. Both perceptions have their own importance which will be elaborated in the subsequent paragraphs.

To begin with, there are multifarious reasons why individuals should spend some time with co-workers. Initially, if they spend their free time with their colleagues, their relationship bond can be strong which is beneficial for team work.To expalin it, having mutal understanding, employees can assist each other in tough circumstances which is not only worhtwhile for workers, but also it is good for company's productivity. For instance, it has observed that, workers who have strong bond with colleagues, they are able to do better team work wothout facing any conflicts instead of those who do not like to talk with others. Hence, it is essential to communicate with each other in order to increase company's profit along with enhance their communicaton skills.

On the flip side, those who think that it is necessary to keep working life different from social life bring also some clarifications. First and foremost, people who do not like to being socialize with others, are more likely to increase their concentration power. To make it lucid, there are not any distractions or any interfareness of others which enables them to do their work propely and it is appropriate to pay full attention towards their work. To cite an example, it is a histrocal fact that by working sole, people become genious in their filed because they do not waste their time on other unnecessary things.Therfore, working life should be seprate from socail life that can be distracted to them to accommpolish their goal.

In conclusion, although having social connection allows them to do team work which tough plenty of things, keeping distinguish is mush better for individuals to focus on their work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both perspectives and state your own view in the introduction: you favour keeping professional and social life distinct. The body paragraphs also give relevant reasons, including stronger teamwork through socialising and improved concentration when work and social life are separate. These points meet the task, but they are not developed equally clearly. The teamwork paragraph explains how mutual understanding can help colleagues, while the second relies on broad claims such as people working alone becoming “genious” and does not explain how ordinary workplace relationships necessarily distract employees. The conclusion restates your preference, but “keeping distinguish” is unclear and the final comparison is not fully explained. Develop each reason with a more specific, realistic example and make the conclusion’s position precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the flip side,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. The ideas within the first body paragraph also progress from socialising to stronger relationships and then teamwork. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “Hence” introduces a claim about company profit and communication skills without fully connecting it to the example, and “Therfore” leads into a confusing final sentence. The conclusion also shifts abruptly from teamwork to the preference for separation. Use clearer references and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “contrasting,” “multifarious,” “mutual understanding,” and “productivity,” and the topic is generally recognisable. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to understand. Examples include “schools of thoughts,” “relationship bond,” “working sole,” and “keep working life different.” Several ambitious choices, such as “histrocal fact” and “genious,” do not communicate the intended meaning reliably. Aim for natural, precise expressions rather than using uncommon words where a simpler phrase is clearer. Proofread spelling and check collocations in a dictionary; for example, use “build stronger relationships” and “work independently.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional clauses (“if they spend their free time…”) and relative clauses (“which is beneficial for team work”). This gives the response some structural variety, and the main argument can usually be followed. However, some errors in sentence construction and grammar make individual statements unclear. For example, “employee should be socialize” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “people who do not like to being socialize” combines incompatible forms. The sentence beginning “To cite an example” also has an unclear construction, and several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, as in “team work.To expalin it.” Review verb patterns after “should,” “like,” and “be,” and check sentence boundaries and clause structure when proofreading.
