Student answer (Band 5.5)
Socialising is a crucial aspect of human being's life to stay grounded and to feel normal. However, the scope of being social with others entirely depends upon the individual's choice and preference. Similarly, some working people prefers to make connections with their fellow workers by spending time with them in breaks or spending weekend together. While there are some professionals who prefer keep their work and personal life separate.
By and large, there are numerous adavntages of making connections at workplace. Firstly, it is indeed necessity as work environments are hectic and extremely demanding in terms of time, efforts, psychological effectiveness, project deadlines, huge accountability of every action. Overall, this started curbing down the producticity of some employees. In such scenario, if they have chance to discuss their work related issues with their freinds at work, they could most probably bounce back with suggestions from peers. Furthermore, it aids in lighting the work atmosphere where employees found work as a means of making good friends for life-long. In addition to it, sometimes the people could learn from other people's mistakes and experiences while having conversations which proves beneficial in every sphere of life.
On the other hand, keeping and maintaining a gap between work and personal life fascinates some proportion of working people. The underlying most obvious fact is privacy which in-builds confidence by giving no insights to fellow workers regarding the reality of their life. As work life is a minute basis to judge anybody's character but personal life information gives a lot to to judges present everywhere around us. For believer of this ideology, that's a true contentment when nobody knows about your life such as from where exactlly the person comes from, the family members, family issues and aout future endavours.
From my perspective, making really good connections is fairly needed in life to build better understanding of work and personal life. At the end, the people we are surrounded with can only gives us recommendation and the final decision is made by us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both perspectives and give your own view, so the response addresses the main parts of the task. The case for socialising is supported with relevant points about sharing work problems, receiving suggestions and learning from colleagues’ experiences. The opposing view is also identified through privacy and the wish to keep personal information from coworkers. However, this side is less clearly explained, and the final opinion—that good connections are needed—does not fully clarify how you balance socialising with maintaining boundaries. Some claims, such as socialising being a “necessity,” would benefit from a specific example and fuller explanation. Develop both views more evenly and state your position more precisely throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, some connections feel mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always smooth. For example, the move from workplace pressure to reduced productivity and then to friendship is understandable but needs clearer explanation of how each point leads to the next. References such as “this” in “Overall, this started curbing down…” are also unclear. Improve cohesion by making links between cause and effect explicit and ensuring each paragraph develops one central idea in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “accountability,” “privacy,” “contentment,” and “recommendation.” These choices show an effort to express more than basic ideas. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow: “lighting the work atmosphere,” “a minute basis to judge,” and “future endavours” are examples. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “adavntages,” “producticity,” “freinds,” and “exactlly.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than using complex wording where a simpler phrase is clearer. Proofreading spelling and checking collocations would make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while,” “if,” and “which.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, attempts at longer sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “some working people prefers” has subject–verb disagreement, while “prefer keep” needs a different verb pattern. In “the people we are surrounded with can only gives us recommendation,” the verb form and sentence construction are inaccurate. Some sentences also lack clear grammatical structure, particularly the long sentence beginning “As work life is a minute basis…”. Practise agreement, verb patterns, articles and sentence boundaries, then check each long sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
