Student answer (Band 5.0)

A number of people believe that, it is better to engage with other people realted to work during evenings and weekends. However, people should keep thier work life private it is considers by others. I think that both the opinions have their own merits which i will discuss in following paragraphs with suitable illustration.

On the one hand, pople should interact with other pople while working instead of doing that alone because sometime people misunderstood the things. For instance if person have somehting to do and they do not understanad the wrok properly, they may do that according the perceptin that may have in their mind no matter it is wong or right, Owing to this they always need someone for help to understand better and also sometime they provide differnt idas which may be more be useful. Hence, this will helps to get a new ideas and better understanding.

Moreover, sometime when people arae working alone they are nervous sometime they are stressed. So, if others helping them they will not get nervous and they can gain thier confidence while working in a group.

On the other hand, certain individuals like to working alone because they do not want any disturbance in thier work. To explain it more, they think that when thye wroking in group then it is so noisy and pople focus on gossips more than work so it may lead the distractions and interfernce. it is better to work alone instead of with other indiviusals. In addition, working alone becomes indiviusals independent, and they learn alone how to tackle issues which they may have during thier project. Also, they can improve thier more skills such as they become more ceative and can gain their confidence.

In conclusion, In my point of view, both perspective their own benefits but working in a gruop is better ideas beacuse they can not only interact with others but also improve their skills such as, time mangment, language and how to do group work. Also some poeple in the group may from other culture so can learn about others colture too.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first body paragraph supports interaction with colleagues, while the second explains why some prefer working alone, and the conclusion gives your preference for group interaction. However, the discussion only partly answers the specific question, which is about socialising with colleagues outside work hours. Most examples instead concern working together on tasks, such as getting help to understand a project or avoiding distractions in a group. Your position is present, but the reasons for socialising after work and for keeping work and social life separate are not clearly developed. To strengthen the response, explain relevant benefits and drawbacks—for example, building trust through shared activities versus protecting personal time—and support each with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from misunderstanding work to confidence without clearly connecting these points to socialising outside work. Some linking is repetitive or mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “Also.” References such as “both the opinions” and “both perspective” are also imprecise. Organise each paragraph around one clear reason, then explain and illustrate it, using linking phrases only where they show a genuine relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for discussing workplace relationships, including “disturbance,” “distractions,” “independent,” and “confidence.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, such as “working alone,” “group,” and “people.” Frequent spelling errors—including “realted,” “thier,” “interfernce,” and “mangment”—make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “both perspective their own benefits” and “a new ideas.” Build a more precise set of phrases for the actual topic, including “socialise with colleagues,” “maintain work-life boundaries,” and “build rapport,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if,” and “which.” This shows an effort to express reasons and consequences, but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “if person have something to do” lacks an article and has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “this will helps” uses an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “To explain it more” also contains a faulty clause structure. Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, as in “it is better to work alone” after a full stop. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
