Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent world, networking with co-workers is increasingly popular among working individuals. While a segment of society believes in meeting them on weekends is worthy, others argue that keep a significant distance from them is beneficial. This essay will discuss both perspectives before offering a reasoned conclusion outlining why I believe that having a balanced approach is appropriate.
On the one hand, hanging out with colleagues often breaks a barrier of shyness, which enhances their abilities to enjoy endlessly. Usually, they communicate with each other about the workplace only, and it feels boring and stressful at some point. Meeting each other during evenings or weekends allows them to communicate freely without having a fear of being caught by manager or supervisor. It helps them to de-stress and feel relaxed. To exemplify, numerous workers share great bond with their colleagues even outside of work organisations.
On the other other, networking with other employees is often considered as negligence, as it has the highest possiblities of revealing such confidential information. For instance, huge companies like Amazon, employees have different wage, and it is their responsibilities to keep this information confidential. If in any circumstances, they share their details with other workers, it creates disappointment and jealousy among colleagues because not everyone's wage is same. Therefore, keep a distance from each other is beneficial for both, company and its employees.
To conclude, individuals have their own choices of socialising with their co-workers. However, maintain a proper balance between work life and personal life keeps people delighted. It limits them from oversharing, which ultimately boosts their overall work experiences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear concluding position: socialising can be beneficial, but a balance is preferable. The first body paragraph explains how informal contact may reduce shyness and stress, while the second presents a concern about confidential information and workplace jealousy. These are relevant reasons, and the example involving pay helps illustrate the second view. However, the benefits of socialising are less fully developed than the risks: the claim that colleagues can “enjoy endlessly” is unclear, and the example of workers having a “great bond” does not show how this improves their working or personal lives. Explain the consequences of each view more precisely and connect your examples directly to your argument to develop the response further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that returns to your balanced position. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “For instance,” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the progression. This is a coherent arrangement, and the main ideas are generally easy to locate. Some linking is mechanical or imprecise, however: “On the other other” repeats a word, and the transition from socialising to wage confidentiality is abrupt because the connection between these concerns is not explained. The conclusion also introduces “oversharing” without clearly linking it to the earlier discussion. Use more precise references and add brief transitions that show how each example supports the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “co-workers,” “confidential information,” “de-stress,” and “balanced approach.” These choices show an effort to discuss workplace relationships and privacy, but several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision. For example, “enjoy endlessly” does not clearly express the intended benefit, “highest possiblities” is an unsuitable phrase, and “share great bond” is not a natural collocation. There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “possiblities” and “responsibilities” where a singular form is needed. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “build stronger relationships,” “risk of disclosing confidential information,” and “employees’ salaries differ.” This will make your ideas clearer and your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which enhances their abilities” and a conditional structure beginning “If in any circumstances.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. Examples include “others argue that keep a significant distance,” where the verb pattern needs “keeping” or “it is beneficial to keep,” and “Therefore, keep a distance … is beneficial,” where the subject should be “keeping a distance.” In “huge companies like Amazon, employees have different wage,” the sentence structure and article/plural forms need correction. Check subject–verb agreement and sentence construction, and proofread repeated words such as “other other.” More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
