Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that socialise with work colleagues after work during evenings or weekend is a good idea, while others believe that it is an important maintain boundaries between personal and professional life. Although both perspectives have some merit, I think that after work meetings help to make your workplace less stressful due to better understanding. This essay will discuss both views before explaining my poistion.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some people believe that spending evenings with co-workers are beneficial. The main reason is that it helps to build strong relationship. This is because after work meetings gives a chance to employee know better about each other related to diffrent aspects such as skills and interest. For example, a weekend dinner together can help you to become a good friends who can work more productly together. Therefore, it is neccssary to go out with colleagues after work.
On the other hand, others argue that work life should be completely different work public life. One significant reason is that it reduce the professionalism at workplace. In other words, workers do not hesitate to say something and forget their limits. For instance, if a colleague need a day off due to instant plan than they have cancelled the shift by doing just one text message which lead to many problems for business. Therefore, it is understandable why many people support this perspective.
Personally, I believe that enjoying weekends together and evening walks are good for healthy relationship with other employees but while maintaining the respect for each other.
In conclusion, although socializing with workers has some advantages, not spending time after work also has merit. However, I believe that meetings after working hours is an important for healthy and happy workplace.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state your own position: the first body paragraph explains how socialising can build relationships, while the second presents concerns about professionalism, and your conclusion supports after-work contact. These points are relevant to the question. However, the two sides are not developed equally clearly. The benefit is illustrated with a weekend dinner, but the claim that this makes colleagues more productive is asserted rather than explained. The example about cancelling a shift by text is also difficult to connect to socialising itself, so the argument for keeping work and social life separate remains unclear. To strengthen the response, explain how each example demonstrates the view and develop your position consistently, including the importance of boundaries that you mention in the introduction and personal opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a paragraph giving your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectations securely, and the paragraphing and overall sequence show some features of stronger organisation. However, connections within the arguments are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “Therefore, it is necessary to go out with colleagues” does not follow fully from the preceding example, and the shift-cancellation example is not clearly linked to maintaining professional boundaries. The opinion paragraph also introduces “evening walks” without developing that example. Use clearer links between claims and evidence, and make references such as “this perspective” more specific.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “professionalism,” “boundaries,” “co-workers,” and “healthy relationship.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “after work meetings” and “maintaining the respect for each other.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors are noticeable. Examples include “strong relationship,” “good friends,” “work public life,” and “more productly”; spellings such as “poistion,” “diffrent,” and “neccssary” also reduce accuracy. Some errors make the intended meaning less clear, particularly “work public life.” Build a more reliable set of phrases for discussing workplace relationships and boundaries, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concession in the introduction (“Although both perspectives have some merit”) and conditional structures in the example about a colleague needing time off. The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For instance, “it is an important maintain boundaries” needs a grammatical construction such as “it is important to maintain boundaries”; “meetings gives” has subject–verb disagreement; and “a colleague need” should agree in number. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a good friends,” while the final sentence has an incomplete construction in “is an important for.” Work on agreement, articles, and complete sentence patterns, then proofread longer sentences to ensure that each clause is grammatically connected.
