Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, some people believe that they should get socialise with their colleagues after work during evenings or weekends. While others thinks that their working life should not be include in their social life. This essay will discuss both these views and give reasons why I believe that it's a good idea to get socialise with your work colleagues after work.
On the one hand, it's a good idea to get socialise with their work colleagues because employees of any company are working under pressure and may suffer from stress related to work during their weekdays. Therefore, they prefer to meet their colleagues to relax their mind and talk about other things which is not related to work. Moreover, getting socialise with your colleagues helps you to understand their behaviour outside of work, which eventually going to help you to build a good coordination with them to work as a team. For example, knowing your colleagues outside of work may build a healthy relationship which sometimes can help to solve personal life issues related to family or money.
On the other hand, others believe that it's important to differentiate between work life and social life. One of the main reasons for this is some people don't like to be socialise with anyone else because they are introvert and don't open up easily with their colleagues. Furthermore, they may want to give priority to their family and spend quality time with them whenever they are free. For instance, work related stress may affects their family and sometimes it leads to arguements which are happening because of work pressure.
In my opinion, it's a good idea to build relationship with work colleagues to fresh our mind and know them personally outside of work. However, it totally depends on person to person if they want to get socialise with their work colleagues after work or not.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for socialising with colleagues, so the response covers the main parts of the task. The first body paragraph gives relevant reasons: work-related stress, relaxation, and better teamwork. The opposing view is also represented through introversion and the wish to spend time with family. However, some points are not fully explained. For example, the claim that colleagues may help with “personal life issues related to family or money” is introduced but not clearly connected to the benefits of workplace socialising. The example about work stress causing family arguments also needs a clearer link to why separation is preferable. Develop each side with a more specific explanation or example, and make your final opinion more decisive about when socialising is beneficial.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a concluding opinion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the contrast easy to follow, while “Moreover” and “For example” help show relationships between ideas. This coherent organisation meets the lower-band expectations, and the progression is generally clear. To make the flow more flexible and precise, improve links within some sentences: “which eventually going to help you” does not connect grammatically to the preceding idea, and the final paragraph repeats the introduction’s preference without fully synthesising the two views. Use clearer referencing and explain how each example supports its paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic vocabulary to discuss workplace relationships, including “work-related stress,” “quality time,” “introvert,” and “build a healthy relationship.” These choices make the main ideas understandable. However, several noticeable word-choice and collocation problems reduce precision, especially the repeated phrase “get socialise,” as well as “relax their mind” and “fresh our mind.” Some expressions are also awkward or imprecise, such as “good coordination” for effective teamwork and “work life” where “working life” would be more natural. Spelling errors such as “arguements” are also present. Build a more accurate range of collocations and vary repeated wording; for example, use “socialise with colleagues” or “spend time with colleagues” rather than repeating the faulty phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “whenever.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the intended meaning is generally clear. Some errors remain in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “some people believe that they should get socialise” should use a correct infinitive pattern, while “others thinks” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “which eventually going to help,” the verb phrase is incomplete, and “work pressure may affects” uses the wrong verb form after a modal. There are also errors such as “should not be include” and “they are introvert.” Review verb patterns, agreement, and modal constructions, then proofread each sentence to improve accuracy while retaining your complex structures.
