Student answer (Band 4.5)

Although ,nowdays the life of every masses are easy due to new inventions and technologies but they faces a lot of problems as compare to ancient period . In this era, most of the people are in trouble regarding their life make social or private. I will discuss in the further paragraphs.

According to me , folks would be social with their friends and family members at the weekends and during the holidays because when person being social with friends then they

can share their ideas and grab some advices from them . Not only this but they can reduce their tensions and stress of daily basis . I think if people being social then they can stay healthy and stress free.

But on the other hand , most of people think if we do not share our feelings with our friends and family members then it would be good for us because if they share our feeling then they make bully in front of society . The second reason is they believe that if they make their life private then they can achieve their target easily because most of the folks create restrictions rather than bridge in our path.

Overall, I had discuss both the point of view of that topic but I realise that people should make their life social because it would helpful for everyone they are living in our society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You give a clear preference for socialising, and you attempt to discuss both views: the benefits of sharing ideas and reducing stress, and the concern that others may ridicule people or obstruct their goals. However, the response only partially fulfils the task because it shifts from work colleagues to friends and family, so the central issue—whether to socialise with colleagues outside work—is not directly explored. The reasons are also brief and general, with no relevant example to support them, and the opening does not establish a focused position. The response is 16 words below the required minimum, which further limits the opportunity to develop the discussion. Focus on colleagues and explain how socialising or keeping boundaries affects workplace relationships.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting social contact, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “on the other hand” and “Overall” help readers recognise the intended stages of the discussion. However, progression is limited because the opening discusses general problems in modern life without leading clearly into the specific question, and the conclusion mostly repeats the preference rather than drawing the two views together. Linking phrases such as “Not only this” and repeated uses of “because” feel mechanical, while references such as “they” and “our path” are not always clear. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one view, connect each reason explicitly to work colleagues, and use clearer references and transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small range of topic-related vocabulary, including “social,” “private,” “stress,” “feelings,” and “target,” and the reader can generally understand the intended ideas. There are also attempts at less basic expressions, such as “share their ideas” and “achieve their target.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to follow: “life make social or private,” “grab some advices,” and “create restrictions rather than bridge in our path” are unclear in context. Spelling and form errors such as “nowdays” and “masses” also reduce control. Build a more precise vocabulary for workplace relationships and boundaries, and check that each phrase sounds natural in its sentence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if people being social then they can stay healthy” and longer explanations beginning with “because.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to interpret. Examples include “the life of every masses are easy,” “they faces,” “when person being social,” and “I had discuss.” These show problems with subject–verb agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly the spaces before commas. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and tense before adding subordinate clauses.
