Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You discuss both views and give a clear preference in the conclusion: you support socialising with colleagues. Relevant reasons include building relationships, meeting new interns, relaxing, and discussing work problems. However, these points are mostly listed rather than explained with specific examples, and the opposing view is also brief; the claim that personal discussions can lead to conflict is not developed. The response therefore addresses the task only partially, with limited support for its ideas. It also contains 222 words, below the required 250; 44 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view with a concrete example and explain how it supports your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Besides this,” “Moreover,” and “In addition to this” help signal relationships between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined without explaining their connection. The opening moves from past factory work to present-day opinions without a clear purpose, while “limited is better than to going wrong” is difficult to follow. Some transitions also feel formulaic rather than guiding the reader through a developed argument. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each reason to an explanation or example; check that pronouns and references clearly identify the idea being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “work colleagues,” “personal life,” “workload,” and “negative opinion.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “two faces of every coins,” although this proverb is not used accurately. Overall, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the meaning awkward, for example “team fucntion,” “health relation,” and “socialise is providing opportunity.” Spelling errors such as “nowsdays” and “beacuse” are noticeable. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but they reduce precision. Learn common collocations for workplace relationships and social events, and proofread spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “whereas,” “because,” and “sometimes.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “The main reasons … beacuse we can build” lacks a correctly formed main clause, and “the both views is correct” has problems with article use and subject–verb agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the introduction runs two sentences together, and there is no space after the comma in “others,it.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation during revision.
