Student answer (Band 6.0)
One school of thought opines that, it is best idea to meet with your coworkers during evening and weekends, but other people believes that it is essential to make a gap between personal and professional life.I agree with the later point of view. I will discuss both view points in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, nowadays people are living alone. So, they face depression and loneliness. It is good to socialise with your colleagues after work. It makes the bond stronger. They can share their problem with each other. If they meet after work, then they do not need to find a new friends which is very hard to make a new friends. It not only strengthen their bond, but also improve their physical and mental growth.
On the other hand, It is good to keep a difference between personal and professional life. It is very hard to trust on people in this competitive era. Sometimes, people share their personal life with their coworker, then they make their fun infront of everyone at their workplace which is very embarrasing. This behaviour spread the toxicity at the workplace.
In my opinion, it is not good to socialise with your colleagues after work. Sometimes, people unknowingly share their family problems with their workplace friends. It will create disturbance between office life and family life.
In conclusion, although it is good to socialise with their colleagues after work, but it also creates a misunderstanding at their workplace by mixing the working and social life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear opinion: you support keeping work and social life separate. The first body paragraph gives relevant reasons for socialising, including reducing loneliness and strengthening relationships, while the next explains risks such as colleagues making fun of someone’s personal disclosures. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the benefits are explained with several related points, whereas the case for separation is less fully supported. Your own opinion is repeated in a separate paragraph, but the reason about family problems creating “disturbance” remains general. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences more precisely and add a specific example or practical detail to support each main view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “On the other hand” help signal the discussion’s direction. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “If they meet after work, then they do not need to find a new friends” does not clearly explain how this supports the preceding point about loneliness. The opinion paragraph also repeats the separation argument from the previous paragraph, and the conclusion’s “although … but” construction makes the relationship between ideas awkward. Improve progression by making each paragraph develop a distinct point and using clearer links between claims and explanations.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “loneliness,” “competitive era,” “embarrassing,” and “toxicity,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There are also attempts to express abstract ideas, such as the effects of mixing work and social life. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “make a gap,” “trust on people,” “make their fun,” and “physical and mental growth.” Spelling errors such as “later” for “latter” and “embarrasing” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling; more precise phrasing will make your arguments sound clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If they meet after work…” and a contrastive sentence beginning “although.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction. Examples include “other people believes,” “it is best idea,” “a new friends,” and “It not only strengthen … but also improve.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “On the other hand, It…” and the comma after “opines.” Review subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms, and check each sentence for a complete, balanced structure. Greater accuracy in these areas would make the range of structures more effective.
