Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main comparison accurately: women recorded higher participation in every age group except 15–24, and you report several key figures, including the female peak of 53.3% and the male low of 39.5%. This gives the response a clear overview and relevant supporting detail. Some features are less fully or precisely reported, however. The statement that other female groups were “in the range of 45 to 50%” overlooks the 42.2% figure for men only? More importantly, the female 25–34 figure is 48.9%, while the 65-and-over figure is 47.1%; these are not clearly distinguished in your summary. You could strengthen the account by describing the contrasting trends: men fell to 35–44 before rising, while women generally rose to 45–54 and then declined.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response is arranged in a sensible sequence: an introduction, an overview, then separate discussion of women and men. This makes the main comparison easy to locate, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Furthermore,” and “In contrast” help signal relationships between points. The progression is generally coherent, though some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “when other age groups of female remained in the range of 45 to 50%” does not clearly explain which groups or figures are being compared, and “In the terms of mens physical activity” is an awkward transition. Grouping the data by trend—first the overall gender pattern, then the different age-related movements—would create a more integrated comparison. Clearer references and less repetitive use of “age group” would also improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “engaged,” “physical exercise,” and “remained in the range,” so the chart is generally described clearly. There are also attempts to vary wording rather than repeat “participate.” However, several word-choice and collocation problems reduce precision: “engaged with physical exercise” and “involved in exercise” are less natural than standard chart-reporting phrases, while “mens who workout regularly” is informal and awkward. Spelling errors such as “parcentage,” “groupe,” and “parformed” are noticeable, although the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; a smaller set of precise expressions is more effective than using several near-synonyms inaccurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while” and “when,” and the overall meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors are present, particularly with agreement, verb forms, and articles. For example, “women from each age groups were participated” should be “women in each age group participated,” and “52.5% Women … involved” needs a lower-case subject and a suitable verb construction, such as “52.5% of women … were involved.” In “39.5% of men … was the lowest proportion,” the subject is a percentage, but the sentence would be clearer as “The lowest figure for men was 39.5%.” Continue practising accurate complex clauses, while checking plural agreement and avoiding passive forms where they are not needed.
