Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify relevant comparisons, including women’s higher participation across most age groups and men’s higher figure among 15–24-year-olds. The overview also attempts to describe the broad pattern. However, the account is partial and some claims are unclear or inaccurate: “despite a little dominance by the men in the adults” does not specify the young age group, and men’s participation did not simply “remain decreased”—it fell to 39.5% at ages 35–44 before rising. The older groups are described as having the “same number,” although the figures are close rather than identical. The response is also 22 words below the required minimum, limiting the detail available. Add a clearer overview and report the main changes with accurate comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic three-paragraph structure, moving from an attempted overview to comparisons between age groups. Linking expressions such as “In contrast” and “However” show an effort to connect ideas. Nevertheless, progression is not consistently clear: the opening combines several claims in one sentence, and “the adults” does not clearly identify which age group is meant. The second paragraph groups ages 25–64 but gives a broad range for men without explaining the variation, while the final paragraph shifts to older people. Use a more deliberate sequence—overview first, then younger and middle-aged groups, followed by the oldest group—and make references explicit. This would improve the flow beyond the current basic organisation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “age group,” “physical activities,” “dominating,” and “approximately,” so the reader can identify the subject and intended comparisons. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning awkward, such as “statistical analysis illustrate,” “female population shows the significant dominance,” and “men remain dormant.” Spelling errors, including “popullation,” “throught,” and “involed,” are also noticeable and reduce clarity. Aim for precise chart language rather than evaluative or conversational expressions: describe participation as higher or lower, and use terms such as “proportion” and “rate.” Check spelling and choose natural collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There is an attempt to use more than simple sentences, for example with “While” and “However,” but complex structures are often faulty and the range remains limited. The opening has agreement and sentence-boundary problems: “The statistical analysis illustrate” needs a singular verb, and a full stop or suitable conjunction is needed before “Overall.” Other examples include “the age group females … are seems to be,” which combines incompatible verb forms, and “the men ratio remain decreased,” which has agreement and tense/form problems. Articles and prepositions are also inconsistent, as in “on daily basis.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Build accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
