The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The bar chart illustrates the ratio of Australian men and women in several age group who did physical activity in 2010.

Overall, among all the age groups females did more and regular physical activity to compare males.

45 to 54 age group had the highest percentage in female and that was 53.3. on the other side in same age group male had 43.1 percentage who did regular physical activity. Moreover, age group of 55 to 64 female had a 53% and male had a 45.1%. People who 65 and over it had almost same number like 46.7 and 47.1 that was male and female.

The age group of 35 to 44 in that case female had also high percentage rather than male and that was 52.5 and male had 39.5. In addition to that, age group between 25 to 34 also female had a 48.9% and male had a 42.2%. However, age group of 15 to 24 there was male had a high percentage like 52.8% and 47.7% female who did regular physical activity in 2010.
