The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The bar chart show the percentage of Australian men and women who doing regular physical activity in 2010.

Overall, men and women doing exercise in all age group. Female is more higher than male in many age but young male is highest. Old people also doing exercise.

In 15 to 24 age group, male is 52.8% but female only 47.7%. Male is more than female. In 25 to 34, female become 48.9% and male 42.2%. It is little increase for women but men go down.

After that, in 35 to 44 age, male have 39.5% and female have 52.5%. This is big different. In 45 to 54, female is 53.3% and male only 43.1%. In 55 to 64, female still high with 53% but male is 45.1%.

Finally, 65 and over, male is 46.7% and female is 47.1%. They almost same. Female doing more physical activity than men in most age groups but male only first age group is highest.
