Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to provide a clear overview or accurately report the main features. The interpretation of the data is flawed; for instance, the claim that women are 'fitter' is an unsupported inference rather than a summary of the provided data. Furthermore, the description of the trends is confusing and lacks precision. The report fails to compare the two genders effectively across all age groups, focusing instead on a fragmented description of male trends. To improve, you must objectively report the data without adding personal opinions and ensure that all age groups are clearly represented in your comparison.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a logical structure. It is composed of a series of disconnected sentences rather than cohesive paragraphs. There is a lack of logical progression, and the use of cohesive devices is minimal and often mechanical. For example, the transition 'after that a slightly increase' is grammatically incorrect and fails to link the ideas smoothly. The referencing is also unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the different age groups. You should focus on using linking words such as 'whereas', 'in contrast', or 'similarly' to connect your ideas more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use the phrase 'did physical activity on the daily basis', which is not only repetitive but also slightly unnatural in this context. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'six groups of age' instead of 'six age groups' and 'the Australian womens' (pluralization error). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the data with precision. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more varied terminology related to statistics and trends, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuated', 'peaked', or 'remained stable'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'the percentage of Australian women... is more than the Australian men means that...', which is a run-on sentence with poor structure. You also struggle with subject-verb agreement ('The percentage of females didn't goes down') and pluralization ('the other male of age group'). The range of sentence structures is very limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and practice using complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or subordinating conjunctions.
