The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given bar chart illustrate the daily physical activity of Australian male and female in different age groups in 2010.
Overall, the chart shows a significant percentage of women the age group of 45 to 54 and men of 15 to 24 age group.
To begin with the age group of 15 to 24, the boys seem more physically active with the percentage of 52.8 . while, girls contained 47.7 of total percentage . Although, people of the age group 25 to 34 women’s were 6% higher than men . But there was a huge difference between people of 35 to 44 age group which represented the more interest of women in physical activity than men at the percentage of 52.5 to 39.5 .
Move forward, the people of age group 45 to 54 and 55 to 64 looked same active in physical activity at the percentage of 53 among women and near 45 among men. Finally the age group of 65 and above were quite same at the percentage of 46-47 between men and women.
