IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given bar chart compares the ratio between the men and women of various ages who were involved in daily basic material tasks in year 2010.

Overall, what stands out most from the given information is that males were only dominant in age of 15 to 24 whereas females of all ages were more involved. Although women were ahead in most of ages but at a certain age, they were almost equal.

In the age of 15 to 24 around 52% of men were talking part in real tasks whereas only 47% of women were interested at that age. on the other hand, in age of 25 to 34 women showed more curiosity than men and by the time men's concern got more lower in the age of 35 to 44 but it got a little better after that.

Moreover, in age of 55 to 64 53% of women were doing concrete exercises but only 45% of men are involved. Furthermore, after that the age of alder begins where body doesn't support various activities but male and female were almost same.
