Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the task achievement score. Because the response is incomplete and stops abruptly after only 77 words, it fails to provide a comprehensive summary of the data. While the introduction attempts to paraphrase the prompt, the body paragraphs do not cover all age groups or make sufficient comparisons between the genders as required by the task. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full overview and detailed analysis of all data points presented in the chart, ensuring the response reaches the required length.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt at an 'Overall' summary, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the premature ending. Cohesive devices are used in a very basic manner, such as 'While' and 'as compared to', but the lack of a full body paragraph makes it difficult to assess your ability to organize information logically. To improve, focus on grouping data logically—perhaps by age group or by comparing trends—and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and supporting details.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally functional but limited. Phrases like 'go on peak' and 'little bit hight' are inaccurate and demonstrate a lack of control over collocation and word form. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the data with precision. To improve, you should learn specific terminology for describing trends in charts, such as 'reached a peak', 'remained stable', or 'a significant proportion'. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and adverbs will also help you achieve a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors that hinder the clarity of the writing. For example, 'male between 15 to 24 years were prominent' should be 'males aged 15 to 24 were the most active group'. Additionally, 'following little bit hight' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. The sentence structures are simple and lack the complexity required for higher bands. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and practicing more complex sentence structures, such as using subordinate clauses to compare data points more effectively.
