The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The bar chart illustrate the amount of Australian males and females of various age groups who did constant exercise on daily basis in 2010. The data has been given in percentage.

The teenagers and young adults of age group of 15 to 24 of Australia did highest amount of physical activities which was 52.8% and females did 47.7%. From 25 till 34 Australian men were at 42.2% which is comparatively lower than women at 48.9% . Furthermore, age group of 35 to 44 males where at 39.5% which was all time lowest for males, although females whereas at 52.5% which was third highest age group in that year.

Furthermore, men physical activities were increasing from age group of 45 to 54 which reached at 43.1% whereas females of that age group were at all time high at 53.3%, which slightly decreased to 53% and males were at upward trend from that age which was 45.1% in age group of 55 to 64. However, after 65 and above they were almost at same ratio at 46.7% for males and 47.1% for females.
