Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task and provides a clear overview of the main trends. You successfully identified that women generally had higher participation rates, except in the youngest age group, and noted the peak for women. However, the overview could be more precise; for instance, the statement that men's participation 'generally increased with age' is slightly inaccurate, as the data shows fluctuations (e.g., a drop from 15-24 to 35-44). The report includes relevant data points to support the comparisons, meeting the requirements for a summary of main features.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'However' to link ideas. However, there are some issues with referencing and flow. For example, the phrase 'While both ratio was measured in percentage' in the introduction is grammatically incomplete and confusing. Additionally, the transition between the final body paragraph and the conclusion is a bit abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally from the previous one would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'participated,' 'proportion,' and 'physically active.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'expects for the youngest groups' should be 'except for,' and 'the men and women ratio was at' is slightly awkward phrasing. There are also minor spelling and punctuation errors, such as 'tp' instead of 'to' and 'seem' instead of 'seen.' To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'both ratio was measured' (subject-verb agreement), 'the percentage were 45.1%for men' (plural/singular error), and '65and over' (missing spacing). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and preposition placement, such as 'rose at 48.9%' instead of 'rose to 48.9%.' While these errors do not prevent the meaning from being understood, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your accuracy.
