Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the chart, such as the gender differences and age-related trends. However, the analysis is somewhat inconsistent. For instance, the statement that the 'highest figure shown the female' is inaccurate for the 15-24 age group, which you correctly identify later but fail to reconcile. The data reporting is occasionally imprecise, such as referring to '42.2 men' without specifying that this represents a percentage. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are clearly linked to their respective categories and that the overview provides a more accurate summary of the overall trends without contradictory statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Overall', 'To initiat with', and 'Furthermore'. However, some of these are used incorrectly or are non-standard (e.g., 'To initiat with'). The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, making the logical flow feel mechanical rather than natural. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly when discussing specific age groups and percentages, which makes it difficult for the reader to track the comparisons between men and women effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The range of vocabulary is limited and includes several inaccuracies. Words like 'groupes', 'activated', 'merly', and 'negeligible' are misspelled or misused. The phrase 'mentaly activity' is unclear in this context, and 'joining gym' is not the most natural collocation for describing physical activity participation. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the frequent errors in word choice and spelling occasionally impede the clarity of the information being presented. Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on correct collocations would significantly improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies on a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but these are frequently marred by grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the higest figure shown the female'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'the ratio start with'), and missing articles or prepositions. Sentence construction is often awkward, such as 'the increasing trend follow in ladies who everyday did physical activity'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the text prevents it from reaching a higher band level.
