The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The bar chart illustrates the proportion of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Overall, the proportion of female who are doing regular activity was increasing over the ages while male proportion decline over the age period.
To begin with, female were doing more regular activity then male. The female youngers were less physical activity then male which was 47.7% and 52.8% respectively. The age group of 25 to 30 48.9% of women were doing physical activity, however 42.2% of men were doing physical activity on regular bases. Moreover, 52.5% of middle age female were doing physical activity, meanwhile 39.5% of men are doing physical activity daily.
Furthermore, the highest proportion of women among all the age groups the more adults were doing regular base activity which was 53.3%, while 43.1% of more adult male are doing daily base activity. The age group of 55 to 64, 53% of female were doing regular activity , however 45.1% of mens were doing daily activity. Moreover, 47.1% of old women
