The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The bar chart represents the data of Australian men and women of different age groups who did exercise in 2010.

Overall,it is evident from the bar graph that females were more active compared to the men. As age increases both the gender gets less active. Younger generation was more into physical activity.

In 2010, Young Australian population was more health concious. Age group 15-24 has 52.8% of male and 47.7% of female. females from the different age group were most active and doing physical avtivity in 2010. The age group of 45-54 and 55-64 has almost same trend which is at 53%

Age group of 65 and over which is elderly citizens, They shows same number of male and female candidates who has done exercise in the year 2010. It was approximately 47%. Men from the age bracket 35 to 44 were least active among all the age category. Only 39.5% on the boys were doing workout. Age bracket of 25 to 34 has almost same number of males and females who have done workout during 2010.
