Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to summarize the data, but it fails to provide a clear overview or effectively group the information. The description is fragmented, focusing on individual age groups without identifying the main trends or making meaningful comparisons. The final summary statement, 'women do more activity than man in the life', is an overgeneralization not supported by the data provided. Key features, such as the peak participation rates or the specific gender gaps, are not highlighted. To improve, you should group the data logically and ensure that the main trends are clearly identified in an introductory overview.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response lacks logical organization. It is written as a series of disconnected sentences rather than a cohesive report. The use of cohesive devices is repetitive and often misused, such as 'In the other hand' and 'In next diagram'. Paragraphing is absent, which makes the text difficult to follow. There is no clear progression of ideas; instead, the writer jumps between age groups without a structured approach. To improve, use linking words to connect ideas and organize your report into clear paragraphs: an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs focusing on specific trends.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. Words like 'activity', 'increase', and 'diagram' are used repeatedly throughout the text. There are also errors in word choice and form, such as 'woman' instead of 'women' and 'man' instead of 'men'. The phrasing is often unnatural, such as 'the man work are slighly increase'. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including synonyms and more precise terms to describe trends, such as 'participation rates', 'fluctuated', or 'remained consistent'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'men gradually does less') and pluralization (e.g., 'the man work'). Sentence structures are simple and often lack correct punctuation. The use of articles is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex structures.
