Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the task achievement score. Because the essay is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence, it fails to provide a full overview or report on the data provided in the chart. Key features are not fully identified, and comparisons are largely absent due to the unfinished nature of the writing. To improve, you must ensure you complete the summary of all data points and provide a clear, comprehensive overview that covers both genders and all age groups presented in the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay attempts to use paragraphing, but the structure is fragmented. The introduction is unclear, and the body paragraphs are not fully developed. Cohesive devices are minimal, and the abrupt ending makes it difficult to follow the logical progression of the information. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and use linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'consequently') to connect your ideas more smoothly. The current lack of completion prevents a coherent flow of information.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'having variety of age combinations' and 'shows maximum work capabilities' are unnatural and imprecise in this context. There is a lack of academic vocabulary required for describing data, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', or 'remained stable'. To improve, focus on learning specific collocations for describing charts and graphs, and try to use a wider range of synonyms to avoid repeating basic words like 'groups' or 'activities'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('the' is often missing), subject-verb agreement ('groups... makes'), and awkward phrasing ('near to meet daily activities'). The sentence structures are simple and lack the complexity expected at higher bands. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and article usage.
