The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The bar chart provided illustrates the percentage of Australian men adn women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Overall, female presented highest participation in physical activity than males in most age groups, expect the age group between 15 and 24. The most evident conclusions are that the men had the highest percentage of doing regular physical activity in the age group from 15 to 24 at 52.8%, the women had the higher proportion in the age between 45 and 54 at 53.3%.

Concerning the given bar graph, the lowest rates for male observed in the age from 35 to 44 at 39.5%, while female recorded their lowest figure in the age group of 65 and over at 47.1%. Moreover, the percentage of female was higher than male in the age category of between 55 and 64-years-old by 7.9% over the given period.

In additionally, the proportion of the male was lower than famel in the age groups of from 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 by 6.7% and 13%, respectively througout the period. Also, both men and women reported the almost same percentage in the age category of 65 and over, which were approximately 46.7% and 47.1%, respectively.
