The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The bar graph illustrates the percentage of Australia men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Overall, mostly female in Australia prefer to do regular physical activity. Female from age groups 45 to 54 are mostly involved in physical activity.While, the age group 15 to 24 of males have the highest percentage of regular physical activity.

To begin with, 52.8% males from age group 15 to 24 prefer the physical activity. Moreover, it is the highest percentage of men involved in physical activity. The percentage decreases till age group 35 to 44 and 39.5% of mens are engaged in this group who prefer exercise, it is also the lowest percentage in the all groups. Next groups shows the increasing trend till the 65 and over age group.

Moving to the further details,females show the little more intrest i physical activity as compared to men. The highest percentage is 53.3 of 45 to 54 age group. Mostly age groups of female have almost similar percentage. While the last age group have nearby percentage as of men.
