Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the chart, selecting several data points such as the figures for the 15 to 24 age group and the peak for women aged 45 to 54. However, the report contains several inaccurate readings of the data, such as the claim that men decreased 'around 10.2% than women in similar age' in the 45-54 group. Furthermore, the length requirement of a minimum of 150 words has not been met, as the student's text stands at only 143 words, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. A more complete overview and accurate data reporting are needed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is structured into an introduction, a body paragraph, and an overall conclusion. However, the logical progression is hindered by awkward transitions such as 'begin with, they did regular physical activity about age of 15 to 24'. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and often inappropriately, as seen in 'Futher, when age of 25 to 34'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion within sentences and clauses frequently breaks down, making the flow disjointed.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with numerous phrasing errors and typos such as 'every singel day', 'approximetely', and 'morethan'. The student attempts some less common terms and comparative structures, but these lack precision and natural collocation. Word choice is frequently strained, such as 'via male' and 'increase level of activity by women', limiting the range to a minimally adequate level for basic task communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The text contains a very limited range of grammatical structures, and almost all complex or extended sentence attempts are faulty. There are persistent errors in basic syntax, missing verbs, and prepositions, such as 'The bar chart represents percentage of both gender men and women... in Australia. In different age groups in 2010.' and 'while decrease by male around 10.2% than women'. Frequent grammatical errors cause noticeable strain and difficulty for the reader.
