The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The two bar chart compares the percentage of Australian men and women of different age group who were doing regular physical tasks in 2010.

Overall, the age group between 45 to 54 of females has the highest percentage, whereas the lowest physical activity done by age group of males of 35 to 44. Meanwhile, there is slight difference between the age group of above 65 years.

To initiate with age group of 15 to 24, the chart demonstrates the second highest percentage of males accounted for 52.8%. On the other hand, the age group of 35 to 44, female also have the highest percentage and stood at 52.5%. The lowest percentage of male of age group 35 to 44 was recorded as 39.5%. Similarly, the age group of individuals of 25 to 34, showed 48.9% in female and 42.2% in men.

In contrast of age group 45 to 54 with 55 to 64, there is slight difference among the percentage of female group. However, the percentage of male was recorded as 43.1% and 45.1% respectively. Moreover, the persons (male and female) of 65 and above showed a difference of 0.4% between each other.
