The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given chart illustrates the information about the ratio of different age groups of Australian males and females who participated in daily physical activity in 2010.
Overall, the percentage of the men from almost all age groups was lowest than women's of the similar age group except the most younger male group which was similar with the women middle age group.
To begin with the percentage of the male physical activity performers, 52.8 % was the most youngest group aged between 15 to 24, which was about 6% higher than the females age group. The second most youngest group of male perfomer's percentage was 42.2 and 48.9 of the females. The lowest male activity performers were 39.5 from the 35 to 44 age group and females from the same age group was highest with 52.5%.
Men from middle age group between 45 to 54, contribution in regular physical activity was 43.1% which was 10% lower the the female group from the same age group. 45.1% male daily performers and 53% female daily perfomers of physical activities belongs from the 55 to 64 age group. Almost similar data has been showed in 65 and over age group of both genders
