The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart illustrates the comparison of six different age of Australian males and females who engaged in regular physical activity in 2010.
It is clear from the chart that women kept physically more active than men, with the exception of youngest age group among all six. Males with the highest perentage of 52.8 from the age of 15 to 24 on the following females were 47.7%.
Overall, women were sharply increases from 47.7% to 48.9% and then 52.5%, which later the highest 53.3% before falling down to 47.1% in the oldest category who aged 65 and over.
On the other hand, males were rapidly decreased from 52.8% to 42.2 after that the lowest 39.5% for those who aged 35 to 44. However, it start increases to finally 46.7%.
By contrast, in the oldest age agroup that is 65 and over both males and females reached almost equal.
