The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
This bar chart compares the percentage of both male and female genders in different five age groups doing regular physical workout in year 2010.
Overall, the highest proportion of females are observed in physical activities in every age group except teenagers, while on the other hand the percentage of males are low in all of the given age groups except young males group.
The highest percentage of females was recorded in age group of 45 to 54, and also in 55 to 64, which is fall from 53.3% to 53%,however the women in age group of 15 to 24, and 65 and above are involved in physical activities are around 47.7% to 47.1%.
Only mens in age group of 15 to 24 are in surge in the physical activities with 52.8%, while other all four age groups remains between 39.5% minimum to maximum 45.1 .
Moreover, it was clear that females are more involved in physical activities as compare to mens.
