Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the chart’s main comparison and report most figures accurately, including the male peak of 52.8% among 15–24-year-olds and the female high of 53.3% among 45–54-year-olds. The overview also identifies that women were generally more active, with men leading only in the youngest group. However, “women’s physical activity was at peak than men except from one certain age period” is unclear and does not precisely describe the pattern: women exceeded men in every group except 15–24. Some trends are also described imprecisely; for example, men’s activity rises after 35–44, while women’s falls slightly after 45–54. Use the chart’s exact age bands and make the overview more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs reporting the age-group data. The sequence from younger to older groups is easy to follow, and phrases such as “In continuation” signal a move to later ages. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear, particularly “along with 65 and over age group,” which makes the final comparison difficult to parse. The long final sentence also combines several changes without clear separation. Improve progression by grouping the figures into a few meaningful patterns and using direct links such as “By contrast” or “Thereafter.” Clearer sentence boundaries and references would make the comparisons easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing data, including “percentage,” “age group,” “increased,” “declined,” and “highest.” This gives you a workable range for the task, and the intended comparisons are usually understandable. However, several choices are unnatural or imprecise: “daily-life physical activity,” “was at peak than men,” and “showing the great turnover” do not express the chart’s trends naturally. “Went in declined” is also an awkward collocation, while “previos” and “womem’s” are spelling errors. Aim for standard chart language such as “participation in regular physical activity,” “was higher than,” and “a marked reversal.” Check spelling and choose verbs that describe the direction of change precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. Some sentences, however, contain errors in structure and agreement. For example, “Age group starting from 15 to 25 showed” lacks a clear article or plural construction, and “Age 25 to 34 decreased the activity level of men and increasing women’s” mixes verb forms and leaves the second clause incomplete. The overview phrase “women’s physical activity was at peak than men” also has an unclear comparison structure. Use complete clauses with parallel forms—for example, “Men’s rate fell, while women’s rate rose”—and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. These revisions would improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex comparisons.
