Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify relevant patterns, including the male peak among 15–24-year-olds and women’s higher figures through much of the middle age range. Most reported values are close to the chart, and you note that men’s participation falls before rising again. However, the overview is unclear and does not accurately summarise the main comparison: men are higher only in the youngest group, while women exceed men in every other age group. The claim that women’s 25–34 and 15–24 figures are the lowest is also imprecise, since 15–24 is the lowest female figure but 25–34 is not. Make the overall contrast explicit, then select and compare the key highs, lows and trends more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic structure, with separate paragraphs for men, women and an overall statement, and the age groups are generally presented in a sensible sequence. Some linking expressions, such as “Meanwhile” and “In contrast,” help signal relationships. However, progression is weakened by sentence fragments and unclear connections, for example, “While who 65 and over age group regular in activity around 46.7%” and “The data of women regular physical activity popular…” The final overview repeats earlier information rather than bringing the main comparison together. Use complete sentences and organise the body around a clear comparison of the two sexes, with linking words used to show precise contrasts and changes.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant task vocabulary such as “percentage,” “age group,” “regular physical activity,” and “decline,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “largest percentage of man doing activities by youngster,” “female daily active on physical activiy,” and “doing most regularity.” “Popular” is also unsuitable for describing a participation rate, and “youngster” is less appropriate than an age-group label in this report. Aim for precise, repeated chart language such as “the proportion of men who exercised regularly” and “participation peaked at.” Check spelling, including “activity,” and avoid awkward paraphrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
There are attempts to report comparisons and use longer sentence patterns, but control of sentence structure is weak and errors frequently make the message hard to interpret. The opening, “The bar chart illustrate,” has subject–verb disagreement, while “The ages group of Male” has faulty noun forms and capitalisation. Several clauses are incomplete, including “While who 65 and over age group…” and “In addition, 52.5% of women doing physical activity…” Articles, plurals and verb forms are also inconsistent. Most statements rely on simple patterns, and attempts to join ideas with “while” or “although” are not grammatically complete. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles and punctuation.
