Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad comparison that men are more active in the youngest group and women in several older groups, and you include some figures. However, the overview is incomplete and some details are inaccurate: women’s highest rate is 53.3% among 45–54-year-olds, not 35–44-year-olds, whose figure is 52.5%. At 65 and over, men are at 46.7% and women at 47.1%, so participation is close but not equal, and the figures are assigned incorrectly in your sentence. The claim that women become more active as they grow older also overlooks the decline after ages 45–54. Focus on the main pattern across all age groups and report the key comparisons accurately; avoid unsupported explanations about stamina or health priorities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it begins with a general description, then discusses age-related patterns, and uses paragraphing to separate points. Linking phrases such as “At a glance” and “Another finding” help signal movement between ideas. However, there is no clear overall progression from a concise overview to well-selected supporting comparisons. Several points are repeated or loosely connected, and the final comments about possible reasons do not follow from the chart. Some references are also unclear, particularly “just a percent below that goes for female.” Organise the report around the overall gender pattern, followed by the age-group figures, and use precise references so each comparison is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for describing the chart, including “participated,” “physical activity,” “age range,” and “highest.” This gives the response a basic range suited to the topic. However, word choice and spelling errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret: “Phycisal,” “glace,” “paricipated,” and “deminish” are examples. Several expressions are also unnatural, such as “becomes more involved into physical activity” and “same ranged female.” The phrase “stamina decreased” introduces an interpretation that the chart does not show. Aim for accurate, conventional chart language and check spelling carefully; precise terms such as “participation rate” and “was higher than” would make comparisons clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a comparison beginning “Among all the age range” and a sentence linking the two groups at age 65 and over. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “Men tends” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “as they grew older” shifts tense inconsistently with the chart description. “Where we can see Female…” is a fragment, and “Their can be many underlying reason why did findings are showing” contains several grammatical problems that obscure the intended meaning. Use the present simple consistently to describe the chart, form complete sentences, and check singular/plural agreement and sentence boundaries.
