Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main contrast: men have the highest activity rate in the youngest group, while women lead in most later groups, and you note that male participation rises again after its mid-age low. These are relevant features and support a clear overall summary. However, several figures and age descriptions are inaccurate or unclear. For example, the 25–34 male figure is 42.2%, not 48.9%; the 35–44 figures are 39.5% for men and 52.5% for women, not 43.1% and 53.5%. The statement that women do more activity “as per age” also overlooks their decline in the oldest group. Report the key comparisons accurately and distinguish the female peak at 45–54 from the subsequent slight fall.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs giving age-group details. This helps the reader identify the broad comparison. However, progression within the detail paragraph is difficult to follow, particularly where several age groups and figures are combined in one sentence. The phrase “after that” does not clearly signal which group follows, and “moreover” is used where a clearer transition or a new sentence is needed. Some references, such as “the whole life” and “the last two time periods,” are imprecise. Organise the figures in a consistent sequence from youngest to oldest, and use shorter sentences with clear links between each comparison.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “physical activity,” “age,” “percentage,” and “declined,” so the subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated or do not express the intended comparison naturally. Examples include “more concentrate on their physical activity,” “lost their interest,” and “do the physical activities more then.” Some word forms and spellings, such as “activitied,” also reduce precision. Use standard chart language and vary it carefully—for example, describe rates as “higher,” “lower,” “rose,” or “fell,” rather than repeatedly saying people “do” activities. More accurate collocations would make the comparisons clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with comparisons, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent: subject–verb agreement is missing in “The bar chart provide” and “female do,” while tense and sentence construction are also problematic in “female was showing less interest” and “the male in this age do physical activities are 43.1%.” Several sentences run together, with punctuation missing around figures and transitions, as in “43.1%.moreover,in the last two time periods.” Build comparisons with a reliable pattern such as “Women recorded X%, compared with Y% for men,” and check agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
